On Wednesday, October 3, Freedom Home Healthcare presented a dynamic seminar to some of New Jersey’s top health care professionals. Dr. David Barile, chief executive officer and director of New Jersey’s Goals of Care, was the guest speaker.
While attendees feasted on a delightful breakfast at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, New Jersey, Barbra London, president of Freedom Home Healthcare, greeted the crowd and briefly discussed her own personal experiences with end-of-life decision-making challenges.
She then introduced the crowd to Dr. Barile, who led an informative and fascinating presentation about the importance of aging and decision making. He also discussed the new Physician Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment (POLST) form.
Dr. Barile’s lecture was not only enlightening, but also humorous. From a hilarious Seinfeld clip to a brief mention of the Rolling Stones, he captivated the attendees’ attention throughout the presentation. Humor aside, Dr. Barile explained the demographics of aging worldwide and how certain countries are in fear of an aging crisis.
We thank Dr. Barile for his valuable and timely lecture, and the attendees who made this day a great success!
